About Capital Conscious U
Founded by Dr. Waajida Small, leadership practitioner, coach, and scholar; Capital Conscious U (CCU) is a coaching and leadership development firm focused on helping women discover their purpose and unleash their superpowers to lead lives, careers, and businesses with intention and without condition. CCU provides leadership and executive coaching and training that helps women show up authentically for themselves, their organizations and businesses in ways that maximize their contributions, impact, and value to those they lead.
Meet Dr. Waajida
While I loved working with global organizations as a human resources executive for many years, I discovered that my greatest strength was helping people realize their reason, and maximize their talents to create value in their organizations. I also realized that even though the women were the most creative, the most impactful, the real MVPs—women were the least visible, least recognized, and least appreciated. As one of those women, I wanted to change the narrative. I wanted to change the face of leadership and show the world that I was capable of accomplishing far more than anyone thought I could—including myself. I knew I made an impact and I wanted to ensure that it was a lasting one. I wanted to build a legacy and help other women do the same.
My legacy began when I released my first book “Our Leadership Journey: Shared Stories, Lessons, and Advice for Women of Color”, a resource guide for Women of Color on the rise into positions of leadership and influence in their organizations and industries. But that was just the beginning. My real leg(HER)cy will be creating platforms for all women to discover their purpose, establish their presence, and stand in their power to lead with impact and create their own legHERcy.
